BDO APPOINTS NEW MEMBER FIRM IN NICARAGUA
01 October 2015
BDO is pleased to announce the appointment of a new member firm in Nicaragua, effective 1 September 2015. The new firm, BDO Nicaragua SA, formerly Borge Villavicencio & Compañía Limitada, will cooperate closely with BDO Panama to facilitate their transition into the BDO network.
BDO Nicaragua has 2 partners, Samuel Borge and Francisco Mayorga, and a further 10 staff members. The core services the firm provides are audit, outsourcing, tax and legal, corporate finance, advisory and consulting, information technology (IT), and their industry expertise encompasses the energy, natural resources and tourism sectors - amongst others. The firm has witnessed stable development since its recent inception and its growth is expected to accelerate under the BDO brand.
Managing Partner Samuel Borge is keenly anticipating collaborating with BDO, confident that joining the network will fuel the firm’s future development: “We have always strived to provide professional services of a quality that meets the demands of our clients. As part of the growing BDO network, we will now have recourse to international expertise that will ensure we can deliver the necessary mix of professionalism and business knowledge on a global scale.
“The experience and coverage that BDO has in the Central American region, in particular, is a very appealing factor. I would add that our firm’s values are an exact fit with BDO’s: our focus is always on our clients and ensuring levels of service that exceed their expectations.”
Keith Farlinger, CEO Americas for BDO, adds “This addition to the network will ensure that BDO can continue to serve new and existing clients throughout the region. I am very pleased to welcome such a vibrant and ambitious firm to our network. We look forward to working with BDO Nicaragua in growing their firm and I am honoured that they have chosen us as their trusted partner for expansion.”
